216.245.196.250:27015 I'm pleased to announce that the new server is pretty much completely functioning. Everything is the same as the old server, except for one thing: Map votes don't seem to be random. Every test with Dustbowl, the same maps appear at the end of the map cycle. Still, RTV and nominate can change those.
We also have a fully functioning scramble and admin set. Stats should be working sometime soon, when I get around to it. Maps have been updated as well, to reflect the map update that I put onto the forum... like, a week ago when I was seriously bored.
To recap, for those who didn't see it, it includes removing Junction, Fallout, Aerospace, Convoy, and Ironbowl. [The last two of those have been removed for a while due to server issues.] And in their place we're getting Freight, Busytown, Labor, Freezers, Swift, and temporarily at least Hydro. I imagine Hydro will get voted out again at some point, but if nothing else it'll give some people the ability to get the "Around the World" achievement.
All maps can be found on FPSbanana, and if Aerospace gets updated I'll bring it back, praying it fixes the lag issues.
Speaking of updates, Cashworks and Follower got updated [I need to re-check the follower update, it might not be the right version.] I'd suggest pre-downloading Cashworks if you have a slow download, since for now it's going to empty the server when it gets picked. Which is a damn shame since this version of Cashworks is actually optimized to not reduce framerates and somewhat more balanced.
Also, we have scramble. A comprehensive scramble too, that I think autoscrambles teams if one team is dominating too hard. Votescramble should still be working, and for the full admins [Riddles, Cauvin, me, Xaku] we can do an instant scramble. How it balances is... a bit strange. I haven't figured out what system it uses yet, but it should function well enough right now.
I think we're missing like, 3 people in the standard votes that people get. Not sure, need to recount ect, but it shouldn't take long to rectify.
Arena is slightly screwed up with the new Cvar that Valve put in that both does exactly what we want it to do, and breaks the entire gameplay. There's no sitting out in Arena except by choice. The problem is now you can pick your team, and the teams don't autoscramble. Depending on how many people bitch, I'll change this around to potentially a Sourcemod plugin instead.
Now, for the next part.

I'm looking for that mod that allows people to place multiple sentries. IN the topic formed by this post, feel free to post any mod suggestions you have, and if you can locate the multiple sentry mod, post it there as well. That's one of the few things that I'm trying to find from the old stuff.
Also, I'll look back into potential RTD nights, Kareoke [or however it's spelt] and any issues people might come up with. Post any complaints/Compliments you get about the server, lag issues, connectivity issues, missing maps, ect. Believe me, it'll help more than just us.
The IP for the server is currently 216.245.196.250:27015 if you hadn't figured that out by now. Now get out there and have a god damn good time.
This is the video source. Notice how it is similar to the url link. Video source= http://www.youtube.com/v/dFtLONl4cNc&hl=en&fs=1 URL Link= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFtLONl4cNc
Once you have the video souce you want to use the flash bb code.
Code:
[flash=][/flash]
You need to set the size parameters for the flash object. If your embedding a youtube video 400 x 320 works great. (placing it after the = )
Code:
[flash=400,320][/flash]
Put the video source between the brackets and everything should look like this.
Well, within talking with the CUBE admins (and me stop being lazy), we refined an idea that I've been pushing around for awhile. That idea is the creation of a league team.
Now, what does that mean to mostly everyone else? Well, not much. If you want to be on the league team, you have to talk to me and understand what would be required / expected from you. However, those who don't decide to join for whatever reasons, nothing will change. CUBE will still have scrims. Those scrims will NOT be affected or influenced by the League Team. So if you don't feel like joining, you can still partake in the weekly scrim / practice. The league team will be separate from the weekly scrims / highlanders / whatever that we find. If that isn't your cup of tea or you think it's too serious for you, there's nothing wrong with that. I certainly don't expect to have ~60 members into this, even 20. This is for people wish to get themselves involved with the competitive scene and are willing to do practice.
What will happen after the league team is formed? Well, we will often operate within ourselves making decisions.
So, the league team will be filled with elitist assholes, huh? No. It will not. I can guarantee it. The league team will not tolerant hostility to other clan members. I don't care if one person is better than another person at a video game, that does not give you the right to belittle or mock them. If a league member is found doing such, he will be suspended, and if this becomes an issue, will be kicked from the league team and be taken care of from there. I much rather have an average skilled level person with a nice personality than a highly skilled one with a horrible personality, and the league team will reflect that.
So, are you guys gonna recruit people into CUBE just for the league team? As of now, there are 0 plans of recruiting people. However, if it comes to that, we will follow the following plan. We will introduce them and make them get friendly to the clan, like how everyone else gets admitted into CUBE. However, the league team will maintain it's own sphere, and will control recruits. Regardless, if a recruit is found to be mocking or any form of negativity towards a CUBE member, he will be kicked from the league team immediately.
With that said, let's move onto the more specifics of the league team. If you wish to be added to the league team, you have to talk to me via Steam, PM, or whatever. I wish to have it this way, so I don't indirectly pressure anyone into joining that doesn't want to. Even if you are currently in the UGC league roster, you are not required to join this. This is for people who wish to do the work to get into a competitive scene. We're starting from square one, regardless if you've been on the UGC league.
Expectations Wrote:
Be Active (able to play TF2 the majority of the week) Willing to practice and commit time (There will be significant number of practices in the beginning in order to get the groove in. Practice 4 times a week might be a good starting ground) Dedication (I don't want people leaving me halfway through a league season) Good personality (Like said earlier, a half-baked personality won't be overlooked by skill) Have fun(We play competitively to get a thrill out of a game, although raging is unavoidable, we don't want a guy who cusses or leaves every time he dies or loses)
Also, if you haven't noticed yet, I am going to make it my personal goal to make sure this team goes as smoothly as possible on the league team's half. I would like for everyone else to give the same back, if for some reason you have an issue with this, please, talk to me. I also don't want to see people trolling us and spamming our vent channel when we're in a channel. If you see a bunch of people in a private channel in vent, please ask before coming it. It's not a decision of "Oh, I'm a babyadmin", "xaku and me went to kindergarten together", or "Gear is my sex slave", or anything else clan related. It's a matter of manners, not clan business.
Yo, yo, yo If you haven't heard (Which, apparently, not many have; I would personally like to blame Gear for that). I AM TEH ADMIN NOWZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Most of my duties (tehehehe i sed duty) won't change. I'm still in charge of the scrims, for the most part (with Community and Gear as my lovely/fat assistants). I am also doing a little side-project of reprogramming parts of the SourceMod plugins to better suit our needs (and maybe perhaps making some plugins for ourselves). I'll also try to help with any programming parts of the site, and any add-ons we can try to add to help people. Overall, nothing really changes, besides the nice little 3 after my name and most ways to torture pubbers on our server.
Oh, and to please the ladies (KSorian) ALL OF YOU ARE FAT.
